Walks ending at Staveley 27th October 2024

The A walk will be led by Andy and is approximately 10 miles and 1500 feet.

The walk begins in Ings and goes through Grassgarth to reach High House and High Borrans. After passing Dubs Reservoir it will ascend fairly steeply to Sour Howes and Sallows (both Wainwrights) before dropping down onto the Garburn Pass into Kentmere. From here, the walk passes alongside Kentmere Tarn to Croft Head and Browfoot before reaching Staveley.

The B walk will be led by Lesley and is approximately 8-8.5 miles and 1114 feet (descent of 1166 feet).

A circular walk from Staveley, we go over Barley Bridge to Littlewood Farm & onto Potter Tarn & then Gurnal Dubs. Along and then down to Birk Rigg & Braban House to eventually pick up the Dales Way along the River Kent back into Staveley.

The C walk will be led by David is less than 6 miles and undulating.

This walk is alongside the River Kent, full of beauty and character, enhanced with autumnal colour. We begin our walk on the outskirts of Staveley past Cowan Head towards Burneside. Then we turn around and walk on the other bank, through Beckmickle Ings woodland and into Staveley.
